Annie Riggs is a Professor in the Psychology Department at the Western Washington University. She received her Ph.D. in developmental psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2016 and her B.A. in psychology and philosophy from the University of California Berkeley in 2009.

She runs the Social Cognitive Development Lab, which is part of the Child Development Research Group at WWU. The lab studies how young children think and learn about their social worlds, including their understanding of social norms, gender, and moral issues.

Annie Riggs is a member of Prof. Dr. Markus Paulus’ CAS Research Group The Ontogeny of Normativity. She will be in Munich as a Visiting Fellow from April to July 2025.
